Every planned renovation — a walk-in shower, a whole-house flooring replacement, new siding — runs the same way. You always know what's happening this week, what's happening next, and what it costs.
Timelines vary with scope, but the sequence never does.
Typically 45–90 minutes, at your home
We walk the space with you, measure, and listen to what's actually bothering you about it — not just the item on your list. We look at what's behind the finishes too: plumbing runs, panel capacity, subfloor condition, ventilation, age of the home. That's also when we flag anything that changes scope, like a pre-1978 home requiring lead-safe practices.
Usually a few days to two weeks
Layout, fixtures, finishes and material selections get resolved on paper before anyone picks up a hammer. We show real options at real prices — tile, vanities, flooring, paint, hardware — and lock in the specification. Deciding here rather than mid-demolition is what keeps a project on schedule and out of change-order territory.
Delivered after selections are set
You get one document: a line-item scope of work, the materials specified, the fixed price, the payment schedule and the estimated timeline. No allowances that quietly balloon later, no vague line items. If financing is part of the plan, this is the point where it gets sorted.
Most bathrooms 2–4 weeks; larger renovations vary
Protection goes down first — floors, doorways, HVAC returns. Then demolition, rough-in, inspections where required, and finish work in sequence. One point of contact gives you a weekly look-ahead and tells you before anything shifts. Crews clean up at the end of each day, and your home stays livable wherever the scope allows.
Before the final payment
We walk the finished space together and build a punch list from what you see, not what we think is done. Everything on it gets closed out before we ask for the final payment. You get care and maintenance guidance for your new surfaces, plus warranty details on workmanship and manufacturer coverage on the materials installed.
Water, mold and storm damage don't wait for a design phase. On restoration work, assessment and mitigation often start the same day you call — we stop the damage first, document everything for your insurance, and only then move into the planning and rebuild steps above. Same crews, same standards, compressed timeline.
