STRYDE Home installs LVP, hardwood, tile, laminate and carpet. LVP typically runs $4.50-$10 per square foot installed and hardwood $9-$22, with most homes finished in two to five days.
How much does new flooring cost?
Installed pricing is usually $4.50-$10 per square foot for luxury vinyl plank, $9-$22 for hardwood, and $3-$8 for carpet. Subfloor repair, transitions and stair work are quoted separately because they vary so much house to house.
How long does installation take?
Most single-level homes are finished in two to five days. Site-finished hardwood takes longer because of sanding and coat cure times, and the floor cannot be walked on normally until the finish sets.
Which flooring holds up best with pets and kids?
Luxury vinyl plank, for most families. It is waterproof, scratch resistant and forgiving over slightly uneven subfloors. Hardwood looks better and adds resale value but shows pet claws; tile is the most durable but the hardest underfoot.

Yes, most likely. STRYDE Home works across the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, Kernersville, Lexington, Asheboro, Reidsville), the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex), the Charlotte metro (Concord, Monroe, Gastonia, Kannapolis, Salisbury, Indian Trail) and southern Virginia including Danville, Martinsville and Lynchburg. If your town is close to one of those, call and ask — we will tell you honestly either way.
What should I do before installation?
Remove small furniture and everything from closets in the rooms being floored, and tell us if you need us to move heavy pieces or haul away old flooring. Let the new material acclimate in the home for the time we specify before install day.

Flooring FAQs
How do I choose between all five materials?
Start with the room, not the showroom. Water exposure rules out solid hardwood and pushes you to LVP or tile. Sound and warmth in bedrooms favor carpet. Long-term value in a formal space favors wood. Budget across a large square footage usually lands on LVP or laminate. We walk the house and give you a per-room recommendation, not one answer for the whole job.
Do I have to remove the old flooring first?
We handle removal and disposal as part of the quote. Whether the old floor has to come up depends on what it is — a single layer of well-bonded vinyl can sometimes stay under a floating floor, but carpet, tile and anything loose or uneven always comes out.
What about transitions between different materials?
This is the detail that separates a clean job from an obvious one. We plan transition strips, height changes and threshold locations before ordering, so the doorway between your tiled entry and your LVP living room lands under the closed door, not three inches into the hallway.
Do I need to move the furniture?
You don't have to. We can move and return standard furniture as part of the scope; we ask that you handle breakables, electronics and anything with sentimental value yourself. Appliances, pianos and safes get quoted separately.
